This bicycle has a size 16″ rear wheel and a size 24″ for its front wheel. It is a bicycle suitable even for shorter members in the family.
This is also a 16″ bicycle.
Adults should not look awkward cycling on bicycles like these.
Size 12″ to 20” folding bike is another option a shorter rider can consider. You can raise the seat post and handlebar to a height where you will feel comfortable cycling. Straddle over the body of a 20” folding bike. It is not likely to touch your crotch area.
This is a how a 12 inch wheel size folding bike looks like.
This is a 20″ folding bike.
If the handlebar of a 20″ foldie is too far away for your reach, choose a folding bike that gives you the option to change the handlebar to one that you can reach. Some folding bikes come installed with T shape handlebar which is not interchangeable.
A bicycle with 20" wheelset is suitable for kids 6 years and above. However, if you get yourself a 20″ BMX bike with a top tube length of 18" to 20" you will be able to ride it till you are 5’ 3” in height.
A BMX has higher handlebar which is more comfortable as you do not have to slouch over to reach it. If it is installed too far for your reach, you can lower it down towards you. The seat post bends backward to accommodate the height of taller riders. That way, their legs will not feel too tired cycling. There is a tendency for cyclists to stand on the pedals to ride to relieve the fatigue and that will damaged the pedals sooner.
I usually discourage my customers from buying 18″ wheel size bicycles as it is not a common size in Malaysia and they will have difficulty finding spare tyres and tubes.

Every time I accelerate on my mountain bike, my front wheel makes a clinking sound. How do I fix this?
Check your rim eyelet. If it is the issue, this article teaches you how to resolve it and if it isn’t, it provides some other possible causes to look into.

Should I sell my very old 26er full suspension mountain bike and buy a new carbon 29er or 27.5 hardtail?
I don’t think you can get a very good price if you sell your “very old 26er full suspension mountain bike”. If you don’t need the money from selling it to get a carbon bike, you can consider keeping it so you can mount it on a trainer to cycle indoor if the weather is bad.
Also, shorter members in the family can still make good use of it. Most bicycle parts are generic so you should not have any problem getting replacement parts for it.
It is practical to switch to the lightweight carbon frame 29er or 27.5er if that is what your cycling mates are riding on. You do not want to be chasing after them on your heavy “very old 26er full suspension mountain bike”. Moreover, your cycling mates will be able to cover more distance per pedal revolution on their 29er or 27.5er.
Just a personal opinion. I am not confident about MTB with carbon frame yet which is why you will only find only roadbike with carbon frame in Jom Johan.

What kind of bicycle is great for ferrying pets?
This is currently the most suitable bicycle I have in my shop for ferrying pets. The large metal basket at the front can be padded with cushions so that it is more comfortable for the pet to stand or sit on.
The wheel size is only 16″, so even the younger ones in the family can take the pet out for a ride. I like it that the rear carrier is welded to the body so that it is strong enough to carry an animal cage on it.

Should I invest in a better bike or just modify parts on my MTB?
Send your bicycle to a bicycle shop to have it appraised for upgrading.
If the upgrading cost is low, borrow a bicycle from a friend who is cycling on similar specifications your bicycle will be upgraded to. Does it make any difference for you if you have the upgrades suggested by the bicycle shop done?
If the cost to upgrade is more than the cost of your current bicycle or close to the price of a new bicycle, then you should consider investing in a better bicycle once you are sure that you are into cycling seriously. Talk to your friends who are cycling and read up about their feedback. With these information, it will be easier for you to choose the right bike.
Don’t discard your old bicycle though if you opt to buy a new one. If you mount it on a trainer, you can use it like a gym cycling equipment to build up your stamina. This is way cheaper than getting a gym equipment.

How could I know my bike registration number?
This is usually the location on your bicycle where the serial numbers are engraved.
Bike Index is a website cofounded by Seth Herr and Bryan Hance in 2013. If you check out their website, you will see other areas on your bicycle where you can locate its serial number.
Keep a record of any serial numbers that you can see on your bicycle as it will be easier for you to claim ownership if your stolen bicycle is found. You can get involved with stopping bike theft by reporting bicycles that have been stolen or by reporting shops that you know sell parts from stolen bicycles at Bike registry.

What's the best way to teach my little sister to ride her bike?
Most balance bikes can take weight load of up to 20kg. Another option to balance bike for a child who is older and heavier is the Scoot and Ride which can take a weight load of 50kg.
The best part about Scoot and Ride is that you can also use it as a scooter.
For a child 6 years and above, you can also consider getting a 12", 16" or 20″ alloy folding bike for her to practice on. An alloy folding bike being lighter than a steel bike will be easier for her to handle.
The toptube of a folding bike is low so she will not be hurt if she falls as both her legs will be touching the floor. Lower the seatpost so that she can walk while sitting on the bike.
Bring her to a park with grassy slopes and let her slide down on the foldie. As the bike builds up its momentum as it rolls down the slope, it will be easier for her to learn to balance herself before she starts pedaling.
This video shows how adults are taught to ride on a folding bike which will give you a better idea of how it can be done.

What is bike servicing?
Did you keep the “Owner’s manual and Technical Handbook” that came with the bicycle you purchased? Some brands do supply that.
You should try to service your bicycle by referring to the schedules noted in the manual. Eg, some parts like your chain, derailleurs, brake levers and brake calipers need to be lubricated on a weekly basis, while other components on a monthly or yearly basis. However, if you enjoy cycling in the rain, you will have to lubricate moving parts more often. These are servicing that you can easily do on your own if you are able to buy the correct lubricants for the components.
The more you ride, the more frequent maintenance for moving parts or components that are not running as efficiently will be required. It is best that you send your bicycle to a professional bicycle shop if you have doubts about your experience or ability to properly disassemble to repair or maintain your bicycle. Moreover, some components, such as, the suspension fork and parts on drivetrain or wheels are difficult to disassemble to fix or replace parts as special tools are required.
If you are planning a long ride or you are participating in an event, sending your bicycle to the shop will enable the mechanic to check if any parts are loose or missing or need to be replaced. They will also inform you if your gears need to be set if they are not shifting efficiently. A good bike shop will also lubricate moving parts on your bicycle and clean it up for you on your request.
You can also check with your bike shop what they will do for you if you send your bicycle in for full servicing. Then decide if it is time for your bicycle to go through these services. You may have to leave the bicycle at the shop for more than a day.
Regular maintenance services and adjustments that you can carry out on your own or with the help of a mechanic from a bike shop will keep the bicycle in good operating condition.

Where do you keep your cycling glasses?
There are small bags that you can hang on your saddle or handlebar or frame of your bicycle for stuff like glasses, tools, keys and wallet.
This is a handlebar bag.
This handlebar bag can be used folded or opened up to carry more stuff.
This saddle bag is longer for folding bike users.
If you are worried that your glasses will get smashed up because of the soft casing, you can consider using hard case carrier like this.
There are also padded handlebar bag meant for storing camera which should keep your glasses safe.
If you are not talking about your reading glasses, there are also helmet with retractable visors attached. These visors are more curved to prevent dust particles and smog from getting into your eyes.
I shared quite a number of photos on bags for bicycles on my instagram account. Check it out for more storage solution.

Where can you find an inexpensive battery for an electric bike?
No, you don’t want to find an inexpensive battery for an electric bike. Lead acid electric bike batteries are cheaper compared to lithium batteries but they are very heavy and they may not last very long.
This is an ebike with lead acid battery installed.
Also take into consideration rider’s weight if you intend to buy lead acid batteries just because it is less expensive. Electric bikes are not designed for driving with a heavy load, especially up steep gradients. The motor may get overheated and its fuse or circuit breaker will blow out. It may also damage the speed controller if overheated coils on motors are not replaced on time.
You should want your electric bike batteries to be small or light but powerful and safe, in the wattage that is acceptable in the country you are cycling. At Jom Johan we do sell ebikes with lithium or lead acid batteries installed with 1 year warranty on the following parts:
1) battery
2) charger
3) motor
4) controller
We will be happy to advise on what is best for your requirement and budget.

I removed the paint off a Raleigh alloy bike before. I wanted to personalize it for my son. It was not an easy job because we did not use the right paint remover. I was told that it would be easier if I had used aircraft paint remover.
The alloy frame looked very good after the paint has been removed but before we could do the next step, a customer bought it. So, if yours is an alloy bike and the current paint work looks bad, maybe you may just want to strip the old paint off and leave it be.
I found this article "How to Strip Yer Bicycle for a Raw Finish" on Instructables. The instruction is very clear and there is a photo of how an alloy bicycle will look like with its paint stripped off.
If you are still keen on repainting your bicycle, cover up parts that should not be contaminated with paint. We had difficulty removing parts while repairing bicycles for owners who repainted their bicycles.
Other than painting, there are other ways to decorate your bicycle to personalize it. You can stick washi tape on it and seal your creation with mod podge or decorate it with duct tape or stickers for a more interesting look.
Here is how a bicycle decorated with washi tape looks like. You will have to choose colours and designs that will make it looks less girly.
You do not have to strip the paint off your bicycle if you plan to use tapes or stickers. Just use sandpaper to remove any rough surfaces and you are good to start taping.
Here is how one of my customers' bicycle looks like with stickers on it.
Personalising your bicycle this way, may deter a thief from stealing it as it will be more difficult to change its looks to sell it without being caught.

What is a chain guide for mountain bike?
The chain guide is only required if your chain keeps falling off the cranks.
MRP, one of the manufacturers of chain guide provides a very good explanation about the different guide systems and what is best for your drivetrain and style of cycling.
Chainguide Overview
You will get a better idea of how installing one can help hold your chain in place after watching this video.

Which one is the best balance bike for my toddlers?
Not all balance bikes are built the same. Some are more expensive than the other.
Through my experience selling JDBug Balance Bike, though it is indicated that child of age 2.5 years can start ridding on it, so far, only 3 years old kids are tall enough to ride. This is because the average height of Asian children is lower than that of children from Europe.
Read up on the material used to produce the balance bike. If it is made of steel will your child be hurt if he or she keeps falling while riding on it because it is heavier? It is best to bring your child to the shop selling the balance bike you are interested in to give it a test ride. Find out the maximum weight load it can take and the warranty period extended. Ask if there are replacement parts for it, especially for the tyres and tubes. Ask if they of common size so that you can easily find them in other bike stores near your home.
I noticed that quite a number of kids still can’t ride without the training wheels attached though they are old enough to ride a 20″ bike. Here is an option for children too tall to learn to ride with a balance bike.
This is the Scoot and Ride which has worn the Toy Award in 2015. It can take a weight load of 50kg.
Once your child no longer needs it as a push/balance bike, he or she can continue ridding it as scooter, possibly even after age 15.

Why do Walmart bikes come with 2 suspensions but more expensive bikes come with only 1?
A hardtail mountain bike is one with only suspension fork installed. It is a full suspension or softtail mountain bike if you can also see a rear suspension or shock absorber installed.
It is not true that all hardtails are more expensive than full suspension bikes. The full suspension mountain bikes that you see in Walmart maybe built with steel frame. And if they are alloy framed bicycles they may be installed with components that are not branded or are house brand with less features. That will affect the weight of the bicycle. It is the lighter weight bicycles that are more expensive.
To give you an idea, take a look at the specifications on this 27.5” full suspension mountain bike which weights only 14.1kg.
A 27.5″ softail MTB like this is selling close to USD1000 vs the USD100 to USD200 range 26″ softail MTB listed on the website of Walmart. If this softail have been installed with complete Shimano Deore groupset, it would have been more expensive.
So, the next time you check out bicycles make sure that you compare components installed on the bicycle and not the price. Example, if the price of the bicycle you are interested in is cheaper, look at the components on the other bicycle.
What are the components installed on that bicycle that you do not see on the one of your choice? What are the additional features? If the more expensive bicycle is installed with carrier, mudguard or a gear shifter of a later model or with a remote lock for suspension, these may cost more than the savings that you think that you will be getting from buying a cheaper bicycle.

Can a quality bike be ordered from an online retailer? If so, what are the dos and don'ts?
There are many things you cannot do when buying a bicycle online. Unless you can find a shop that sells the same model and size, you cannot sit on it to see if bicycle fits you comfortably. You cannot straddle over the toptube to feel if it is too high for your safety.
I have in my shop, bicycles of different brands. My customer tried two 27.5” MTB of different brands with M size frames and similar length stems. He discovered that the reach for the handlebar for one of them is a little too far for his height.
Sometimes the colour of the bicycle you see on the catalouge or online maybe slightly different to the one you received. One of my customers rejected a bicycle I specifically ordered for him because it looks more purple than blue, as seen on the photo I showed him.
Bicycles you buy online are usually delivered in a box partially fixed. Do you have the tools and the capability to fix it up to ride? Some manufacturers will void warranty on defective parts if their bicycles are not fixed up by a bike mechanic.
These were some of the issues faced by my customers who bought their new bicycles online:
1) Missing parts.
2) Gears need to be set.
3) Rear derailleur need to be changed.
4) Hydraulic disc brakes not working well.
The most common issues which cannot be fixed were deep scratches on bikes and damaged decals. We can only help our customers fix minor scratches with paint pen if the scratched part is in black or white colour.
We usually inform our customer that there are warranties on some parts for new bicycles. However, most of them do not want the hassle of sending their bicycles back for warranty repair as it may be more costly or time consuming, especially if the store is a great distance away. Moreover, once their trust in the supplier is broken, it is not likely that they will trust them to get the problem fixed with no additional cost, as they have promised.
As a bicycle shop owner, we sometimes received bicycles with defects from the appointed distributor. We can have them returned for replacement or credit note or sell them with discount if the defects are minor or can be fixed.
If you plan to buy a bicycle online, make sure that you select a supplier who is established in this line. You may have a problem returning a bicycle you are not happy with for replacement if the online supplier is not the appointed seller. So, there is also a reason to doubt if the brand is really authentic or just a brand you like printed on the body without the warranties it should come with.

What combinations on a 7x3 would be cross chaining?
You will receive a “Bike Owner's Manual” if you buy bicycles of reputable brands. If you do not have one, just google “Bike Owner's Manual” to find one.
If you take a look at page 6 of “Bike Owner's Manual” supplied by Apollo, you will see a diagram on “Recommended Chainwheel/Rear Sprocket Gear Combinations”
Chain crossing will wear out your chain and damage your drivetrain sooner than it should. So, avoid setting your gears so that your chain sits on the chainring and sprocket as marked “X” on the diagram.
Customers who buy bicycles with gears from Jom Johan will be given a chart to advise how gears should be used for efficient cycling and to prevent drivetrain from being damaged any sooner than it should.

Why is there no stand in a cycle?
If you are cycling on a MTB with a kickstand attached, cycling on rough terrain could be dangerous. It could drop down to its parking position during a bump. The stand can easily get itself hooked to obstacles along the way like roots or rocks causing you to have an accident. This can cause serious injury not only to you but also to the person cycling behind or beside you should he fall right on your protruding stand.
You can easily buy one to install if there is none supplied with the bicycle. Note that if you use a kickstand, you do need a flat surface to stand your bicycle on. So, that may defeat the purpose of getting one if places you plan to cycle to are uneven or gets soft or muddy during rainy days. However, if you like tinkering with your bike or adding stuff to it, it is easier to do so if it is standing properly with a kickstand.
Most road bike users would not want a stand installed to reduce weight.

If I bike 6 miles a day, will I see a difference over time?
That depends on how you take care of yourself.
1) Your skin is going to be darker if you do not have proper suntan on.
2) You can easily fall sick if you are not properly attired for the ride.
3) You can get stressed out due to pollution, foul weather, issues with bicycle, bad roads/terrain and heavy traffic, especially if, you are not cycling in a bike friendly district or country.
So, before you start, made sure that the routes that you are taking are safe for cycling. Take public transport part of the way if the distance is too much to bear (in the beginning). Check what the weather is like to be properly attired and UV protected.
To cut unnecessary stress, check out these points to make sure that you are really ready to cycle.
Ready To Ride?
Once you have got it right, after cycling for a period of time, these are the changes you will see.
1) Your buttock will not ache as much as you develop muscles there.
2) You will sweat it out as you cycle and that will make you lose some weight.
3) You will build up your cadence and find it easier to cycle as you get more competent with your gears.
4) You may find new friends cycling the same route.
5) You can see more clearly what is going on around the district you are cycling through.
6) You will build up your stamina and endurance for other physical activities.
7) You will consider using your bicycle more often to run errands.
8) You may develop a sense of adventure and want to explore new routes that only a bicycle can take you. Maybe even a trip outstation or overseas on your bicycle.
9) You will consider getting a better bicycle as you understand it better through your rides.
10) You may even feel competitive enough to join a cycling event.
11) Your group of cycling friends will expand.
12) You are likely to carry stuff and add more gizmo on your bicycle like bags, bike tools, a cycle computer or even a GoPro to record more interesting rides.
13) You become more particular about the handlebar, saddle, tyres and tubes you use on your bicycle.
These are actually the differences I noticed in my customers after they have been cycling for a period of time.

How do I get the bike fit done on a cycle?
Sit on the saddle of the bicycle you are interested in buying. Place your hands on the handlebar. Do you feel that you are leaning way too forward? If it is and you still like the bike, you can request the bicycle shop to change a stem with a shorter reach or replace it with one which is adjustable so that you can raise the handlebar nearer to you.
As you sit on the saddle, are your feet sitting flat on the floor? Raise the seatpost up so that only the tips of your shoes are touching the floor. Sometimes, you may have to change the seatpost if you can’t push the seatpost down any lower as the bolts installed for the cage could be blocking the way. To resolve that, you can change seatpost to one that is shorter in length or have it cut shorter by the shop.
Now get off the saddle and straddle over the toptube. Is your crotch area touching it? If it is, ask the shop to let you try one with a smaller frame size. So, if a 16″ to 17″ frame size (M size in Asia) is too high for you, you may have to try a frame size of 15″ (S size in Asia). Anything above 18″ is L size in Asia. The size is usually printed on the frame where the seatpost is inserted, just below the toptube.
It is safer to buy the bicycle if your crotch area is about 2–3 inches away from the toptube as you straddle over it. That way, should you have an accident and fall, you will not be hurt by the toptube.

Is it easier to do tricks on BMX bikes than on MTB bikes? Why?
It is not only easier to do tricks on a Bicycle Motocross (BMX), it is also cheaper on the pocket as it is a no gear bike and you can choose those made of steel. There are also more spokes on the rims so they will not be damaged as easily.
There are also BMX with with alloy sport rims which make them even stronger for hard landings.
If they are not already supplied, you can install axle pegs as foot rest so that you can “stand” on your rear or front wheel as you perform your tricks.
While you stand on your rear wheel, you can do a 360 degree spin of your front wheel in mid air because the brake cables will not be entangled as they are routed through a gyro brake system.

Children from age six can start riding on a BMX because its wheelsize is commonly 20”. The size makes it easier to perform jumps and mid-air flipping and twisting with it. It will still be comfortable for children who have grown up to a height of 5′ 3″ to ride because of the top tube length, the higher handlebar and the way the seatpost bends backward. It is a bicycle that a child can horn his riding skills right up to adulthood.
BMX is a bicycle I would recommend parents who are looking for a low maintenance bicycle for their kids. It is definitely suitable for children who are rough riders or adults who like to ride over obstacles found on streets to perform stunts.

What size BMX bike should I get?
Children age six and above should not have any problem cycling on a 20" BMX. If the toptube is 18" to 20" in length, a child of 5ft 3in in height should still be able to ride on the bike comfortably.
The good part about BMX is that if you opt for a larger size bike and the reach is too far for you at the moment, its handlebar is high and can be moved forward nearer towards you as you sit on the saddle.
Sit on the BMX of your choice, adjust the seatpost so that the tip of your feet touches the floor while you sit on the saddle. Place your hands on the handlebar and feel if it is a comfortable reach for you. Adjust the handlebar forward if it is too far away. Note that your arms should be stretched out comfortably. If your elbows are bent as you hold the handlebar, look for one with a longer toptube length.
In choosing wheel size, make sure that it is easy for you to find the tyres and tubes when replacements are required. Some tyres with size in fractions maybe difficult to find. Examples of such sizes are 20x1 3/8, 20x1 1/8, 24x1 3/8, 24x1 1/8, 26x1 1/8.

Is BMX good for long rides?
Is BMX good for long rides? That depends on the number of teeth on your chainring.
If you are buying a BMX for doing tricks, you would want to buy one with lesser number of teeth on it. This is so that you can start to ride off faster after doing your twists and turns. However, if you like to go a longer distance, if that is what you mean by long rides, choose one installed with larger number of teeth on chainrings, eg one with 48 teeth.
This is a GT BMX 43T (teeth) chainring. You should be able to find BMX with 28T (teeth) right up to 48T (teeth) chainring.
A BMX with larger wheel size instead of the common 20” will also help you cover more distance. You can calculate your gear ratio and how far you can go each revolution by knowing your wheel size, the number of teeth on your chainring and on your rear sprocket.
There is a table posted at link to article BMX Madness Gear Ratio and Sizing Charts which shows the distance you can cover based on the above information. I have also extracted from the site to show you how that is calculated:
“For example, if your front sprocket is a 45 tooth, and your rear sprocket is a 16 tooth, then your gear ratio would be 2.8125 (45 divided by 16 = 2.8125). You then take that number (in this case 2.8125) and multiply it by 20 (the diameter of a BMX wheel). 2.8125 x 20 = 56.25 (the gear size). You can apply this simple formula to cruisers (BMX bikes with 24" wheels) by multiplying the gear ratio by 24 instead of 20.”
If "long rides" means ride for a longer period, you have to note that most BMX are made of steel to handle the stress of load during jumps from a height so it is a heavier bike to ride. Make sure that you choose a frame size that is suitable for your height. If the bike is too small, you are more likely to stand up to pedal, each time you want to relieve the fatigue on your legs. That will damage your pedals more quickly than they should.

Why are bicycles so useful?
There is another aspect of bicycle that most people are not aware of.
A study conducted in 2013 by the Institute for Tourism and Recreation Research at the University of Montana found that visitors will stay for a longer period of time and spend more at local shops when they tour Montana on their bicycles. Based on that study, Montana constructed more bike-in camping spots at state parks and began to work on ways to make the highway rumble strips more bike-friendly.
So if you are starting a new business or thinking of relocating your shop you may want to consider picking up a shop that is located in places that are bike friendly.
Here are some benefits about getting a bicycle which will make you realise how useful it is.

Is it legal to change the speed limit of an electric bicycle?
In Malaysia we follow the standards set by UK for power assisted bike. The legal maximun power output is 250W with an acceptable speed limit of 25km/hr. It must also be pedal assisted with a speed reducer installed.
You will have to apply for a license to ride your ebike if it exceeds this limit and you will also need to wear a helmet.
I would advise customers who would also like to ride their ebike in Singapore, to consider getting one with power output of 200W as that is the acceptable limit there. Choosing one that is also foldable makes traveling with it more convenient.
You can read the full details in this presentation I created.

What's so unique about bicycles compared to other forms of transport or recreation for exercise?
When you cycle on a bicycle, you can call yourself “The Champion of the Earth” because you do not require fossil fuel to get you around. It is a recreation where you can get everyone in the family involved because none of you will require a license to start cycling.
For the younger ones, who do not know how to cycle yet, an extension can be added to the bicycle.
You can even bring along a wee one on a front mounted child seat.
When it is too hot to cycle or if it is raining, you can mount your bicycle on a trainer to ride indoor.
Maintenance cost is low as parts and components are generic so you can easily find them in any bicycle shop and get your problem fixed no matter where you are. In fact, some repair work are not too technical that you can learn how to fix them personally.
While you are out exercising on your bicycle, you can also run errands. Just make sure that you have a carrier or a rack installed to hold any purchase.
Here is a solution if you can’t install a carrier or rack.
There are many places in your home or its compound where you can easily store your bicycle as it does not take up too much space. You can even hang it from the ceiling right above your shoes cabinet.
You can ride your bicycle anywhere you want to build up your fitness without worrying about leaving a carbon footprint.

What would you think of someone riding a 25 year old bicycle?
We repaired this bicycle for a customer who received it from his father-in-law before he passed away.
Does your bicycle looks as old as this?
Send your bicycle to a bike shop and have it refurbished so that you can love cycling on it again.
Sometimes old bicycle have a value to it that you may not be aware of. Maybe after some work is done, someone will be willing to buy it off you. Then you can use the money to buy a more current bicycle of your choice.

Which is the best bicycle for fitness?
The best bike for fitness depends on the terrain you enjoy riding on.
If the terrain is hilly, a geared bike will be helpful as you can control the speed when you are cycling downhill and it will help you ride up slopes with lesser efforts.
If you would like to cycle to shops near your home for fitness, you will need a bicycle with a basket or rear carrier installed to carry your purchase.
If you plan to cycle with younger children for fitness, consider a 20” folding bike so that it will be easier to ride along with them as they cycle on their 12”, 16” or 20” bicycles.
A folding bicycle is also suitable for someone who is less confident about handling a larger bike. It will also enable you to take a bus or a train part of the way if you can bring one onbroad. That way you can bring it to a park or somewhere safer or with less traffic to ride.
Do you know that a 26" to 29" or 700C bicycle can be mounted on a trainer?
When the weather is bad for outdoor activities, you can cycle it stationary like a gym bike in the comfort of your home. The trainer is also great for beginners who would like to build up their stamina before they hit the road with seasoned cyclists.
Don’t find excuses to stop cycling for fitness. Look out for cycling buddies to ride with. It will be more difficult to back out if you have made an appointment with your buddies to ride.
